چکیده

Miraculin, a taste modifier, is protein that was first isolated from miracle fruit (Richadella dulcifica). It can change sour into sweet when acids are consumed, although it does not elicit response. Miraculin may have the potential in industry as substitute for sugars and artificial sweeteners. Since plant has low productivity, mass production of miraculin limited. Transgenic hairy root culture alternative system miraculin. In this study, we investigated expression recombinant tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) roots. To increase expression, heat shock 18.2 promoter terminator were used to drive gene host system. Synthetic transformed Nicotiana tobacum leaf explants via Agrobacterium rhizogenes. The transgenic clones contained synthetic showed rapid growth reached maximum after 35-day culture. When regulated by terminator, increased than control CaMV 35S nopaline synthase terminator. 19.97 ng per µg total soluble equivalently with approximately 2% protein. Expression of the antibody 14D9 in Nicotiana tabacum hairy roots

Nicotiana tabacum hairy roots that express the antibody 14D9 were established. The 14D9 antibody yield obtained after 20 days of culture was 5.95 µg 14D9ml-1. intracellular 14D9 amounts with a yield increase up to 20.82 µg ml-1. DMSO increased the antibody amount in the biomass from 20.00 to 64.03 µg ml-1 while PVP (at 1.5 gl-1) and gelatine (at 5.0 gl-1) increased total 14D9 amounts in the cul...

Induction of DrsB1-CBDAvr4 Recombinant Protein in Hairy and Adventitious Roots of T1 Transgenic Plants

Hairy and adventitious roots are efficient systems for expressing recombinant proteins. In the present study, the amount of DrsB1-CBDAvr4 recombinant protein in hairy and adventitious root systems was compared. To this end, the effect of different factors on the optimization of culture conditions to obtain adventitious and hairy roots was evaluated in three separate experiments by assessment of...

enhanced-transient expression of hepatitis c virus core protein in nicotiana tabacum, a protein with potential clinical applications

conclusions by employment of gene optimization strategies, use of viral-based vectors and suppression of plant-derived gene silencing effect, efficient transient expression of hcvcp in tobacco with proper antigenic properties could be possible. background hepatitis c virus (hcv) is major cause of liver cirrhosis in humans. hcv capsid (core) protein (hcvcp) is a highly demanded antigen for vario...

Enhanced secretion of tropane alkaloids in Nicotiana tabacum hairy roots expressing heterologous hyoscyamine-6beta-hydroxylase.

Hyoscyamine-6beta-hydroxylase (H6H; EC 1.14.11.11) catalyses oxidative reactions in the biosynthetic pathway leading from hyoscyamine to the more pharmaceutically valuable tropane alkaloid scopolamine. The h6h gene encoding H6H from Hyoscyamus niger was introduced, under the control of the CaMV 35S promoter, into non-hyoscyamine-producing Nicotiana tabacum and hyoscyamine-producing Hyoscyamus m...

Expression of a Recombinant Anti-HIV and Anti-Tumor Protein, MAP30, in Nicotiana tobacum Hairy Roots: A pH-Stable and Thermophilic Antimicrobial Protein

In contrast to conventional antibiotics, which microorganisms can readily evade, it is nearly impossible for a microbial strain that is sensitive to antimicrobial proteins to convert to a resistant strain. Therefore, antimicrobial proteins and peptides that are promising alternative candidates for the control of bacterial infections are under investigation. The MAP30 protein of Momordica charan...
